Considerate Constructors Scheme

The Considerate Constructors Scheme (CCS) is a national initiative set up by the construction industry to improve its image. Registered sites and companies are monitored against a Code of Considerate Practice, which encourages  best practice beyond statutory requirements.

The Scheme is concerned about any area of construction activity that may have a direct or indirect impact on the image of the industry as a whole. The main areas of concern fall into three categories: the general public, the workforce and the environment.

Speller Metcalfe CCS Awards is a member of the scheme, and has regularly reached the top 5% of contractors from across the UK, including multiple silver and bronze CCS awards.
